We had a clear, crisp Spring day for our visit to North Bennet Street School in Boston’s North End.

Beyond Bookbinding Exhibition at North Bennet St SchoolNEBA members, James Reid-Cunningham, Andrea Case, Dennis Dahill, Cristina Hajosy, Stephanie Stigliano, and Kathy Lobo were pleased to have a deeper look at this fantastic book show.

Beyond Bookbinding Exhibition at North Bennet St SchoolCongratulations to James Reid-Cunningham BB ’91, NBSS Bookbinding Program Advisor, for his binding of Benjamin Britten: A Christmas Sequence for receiving an Honorable Mention award. He gave us an informal artist’s talk and shared some of his experiences with teaching at NBSS.

Another exhibiting book artist, Sara Pines (BB’23) happened to be there, as well. She talked briefly about her artist’s book, Folklore Fish and using fish skins in binding.

Abra Mueller (BB’23) and her marbles were on display both in exhibition and the lobby. It was nice chatting with her at the reception desk. She was eager to share her NBSS experience and passion for marbling.
