Folks travel from throughout the United States and abroad to attend the world famous Brimfield Antique Flea Markets. NEBA members, Carolyn Letvin and Cristina Hajosy spent a hot and muggy day looking for treasures. As expected, it was the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The previous days of rain meant the puddles were deep and the day’s foot traffic was light.
We mixed new artistic acquaintances and tons of book-related finds to make the outing a success. Here’s a closer look at Steve’s altered books with carved niches and some of his assemblage light fixtures. Book End Designs, Gloucester, MA.

Visible mending, or “sacred mending”, was spotted on mixed media artist, Ed Fletcher’s shorts. Much discussion followed there – and on the long drive home. Another fun NEBA field trip!
