NEBA’s Lending Tool Library
We’re excited to announce New England Book Artists’ Lending Tool Library has purchased 12 Book Arts Tool Boxes for NEBA activities and NEBA members’ use. Having the right tools for the job is the best starting point in the book arts. We’re pleased with the outcome – the boxes are fantastic, so much so that folks are asking about purchasing. While the fundraising potential is interesting, we are primarily looking forward to more outreach to new audiences. NEBA activities like workshops, demonstrations and community-based programs will now be supplied and ready to go.
Cristina Hajosy, NEBA’s president and arts educator, has procured these perfect book arts tool kits for all skill levels. These tool boxes can assist and expand all art and teaching practices – from beginning bookmakers to seasoned book arts teachers. As our organization grows, we hope to expand the Lending Library in ways best suited to our membership.
Contact NEBA for reservation requests, comments and suggestions.
New England Book Artists is eager to lead more Girl Scout Book Artist Badge projects. We also hope to lead workshops at the Watertown Free Public Library’s ZineFest and the Boston Art Book Fair in Fall 2022. With all of those in mind, the first reservation for the Tool Boxes will be NEBA’s, reserving 10 boxes for May and November, 2022.
And just like that, we’re open!
Here’s the lending policy for NEBA members:
- Reserve 1-10 boxes at one time
- Loan period is one month – and once yearly
- Member is responsible for damaged or missing tools
- Physical pick-up/drop-off at Cristina Hajosy, 20 Tracy Wood Rd., Canton, MA
