Three chapters SandSation is (my) “View with a grain of sand,” where the entire awareness of the beauty of the world and its richness rests on man as a witness and observer. Sand collected during trips around the world from 2003 to present are also a tribute to the great Polish Nobel poet, Wisława Szymborska (1923–2012), whose book of poetry often travels with me.
We call it a grain of sand,
but it calls itself neither grain nor sand.
It does just fine, without a name,
whether general, particular,
permanent, passing,
incorrect, or apt.
