ARTIST’S STATEMENT
As a former commercial artist, I found when I finally got the freedom to do whatever I wanted “art-wise”, I explored every avenue. I think of myself as a watercolorist primarily, but I love working in printmaking. I am always looking for new ways to express myself.
Monotype printmaking allows me to explore unlimited creativity that no other technique has for me.
I try to use movement of form and color in developing my image on the plate. Collaging prints on board and adding different media to complete the piece are extensions of the original conception. The finished piece can have an amazing result that for me is a big part of the appeal of printmaking.
