In preparation for the 2021 Belfast, Maine Poetry Festival, poet Jefferson Navicky and artist Rebecca Goodale rented a campsite at Wolfe’s Neck Farm for 6 days. There they gathered ideas while sitting at the picnic table or as they strolled through the campground and along the farm roads. At the festival, Jefferson read two new poems, and Rebecca showed a group of small paintings depicting their neighbors’ tents. The Campsite Residency led to the making of this book.
This book was made in Maine. The drypoints were printed at Circling the Square Press in Gardiner then hand colored and bound at Rebecca’s studio in Freeport. Scott Vile at Ascensius Press in Bar Mills designed and printed the letterpress type. The foil stamping on the box is by Scott Mullenberg at Mullenberg Designs in Portland. Each book in this limited edition is signed and numbered by the artist and the writer.
