Shelter-Nourishment-Curiosity explores the disruption caused by having to leave one’s home: the chaos and despair, the constant shifting of opportunities and setbacks, of ways forward opening and closing, a roller-coaster of hope and frustration, the sheer exhaustion of it all … for me, this also raises broader questions about how we live, what we think of as home – physically, socially, culturally. What do we think of as necessary in life? Shelter and nourishment, yes, but curiosity also matters on many levels, helping us see openings and, if we are lucky, the spaces where we can make our home, survive and thrive.
