Dream Waves
Cigar box, cyanotypes, pastel, Strathmore Bristol
8.5 x 4 x 8″, closed
8.5 x 9 x 14″, open
$600
In a dream, waves convey feelings and knowledge about events that will occur in the future. The wave dream indicates your subconscious desires, feelings and beliefs. Dreaming about waves can indicate an underlying clash between your rational side, environment and your desires of the heart, soul, and inner self. In the piece, Dream Waves, the cover is a gentle flowing of rolling waves curling into themselves. Upon opening the box, the waves transform to a field of graphic forms reaching and waking up to the world.

The memory of grasses back in the dunes blowing in the wind of the Cape inspires this piece. Stretching to the sky, they are captured in cyanotype photograms and printed negatives.
