ARTIST’S STATEMENT

The Spirit Books are portable sanctuaries. They connect my experience of the inherent spirituality and mystery of nature with the long-standing tradition of books as testaments of faith and belief. The stitched and beaded patterned pages of the wordless volumes rest in branches, roots, pods, and vines.
