Susan Marsh creates books and art in Salem MA. She interprets the realm where the earth, sea and sky mingle through the lens of an architect and science teacher. Her work can be found in private collections around the world. She is a member of the Kaleidoscope Book Group, MBS, FAN, AAAS, and CAS.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT
I am driven by the beauty of nature and am always asking why to get to deeper understandings. I relish in exploring various media, book structures, and techniques such as the chemistry of natural dyeing, cyanotypes, and stitching. Sometimes a playfulness emerges to balance my serious side.
