Thirteen Buddhas is a small stand-up grotto that depicts the Buddha’s many moods. For years, I’ve collected Buddha-themed costume jewelry manufactured from the 1930s through the 1980s, always intending to include them in some kind of unified piece so that they could be displayed. An artist’s book is an ideal vehicle. The double accordion book format can be set up in a variety of configurations to highlight specific images.
