Between the Covers, juried by NEBA’s Exhibition Committee, explores the art, craft and imagination contained within the book form. This open juried show celebrates the book as both vessel and artwork–where structure, materials, text and image meet in unexpected ways.
From traditional bindings to sculptural and experimental forms, artists are invited to consider what lies between covers: stories, secrets, histories, mysteries and the intimate experience of turning and unfolding pages. It’s a playful and intimate exploration of the hidden, private, or imagined worlds inside the book form–literal covers, metaphorical secrets and conceptual thresholds.

The Wedeman Gallery is designed to support the educational and extracurricular programs of Lasell University and Lasell Village through artistic and cultural activities designed for all members and friends of the broadest University community. In recent years, the Gallery has exhibited work by local and national artists and hosted student and faculty art shows.
